Medical Alert’s help buttons have a range of up to 800 feet* covering you anywhere in your home—that’s more than the length of two and a half football fields.
Your Medical Alert system has a backup battery life of up to 30 hours, protecting you in case of a power outage.
The system has a built-in two-way speaker, allowing direct communication. We’ll send help even if you’re unable to speak.
Our help buttons are waterproof* and can be worn in the shower or bath where slips and falls commonly occur.
If you need help, you will be connected to a live U.S.-based response specialist who will assess your care and provide assistance anywhere you are.
The Home System is compatible with a fall detection button that automatically senses when you fall and contacts a response specialist.*

You will receive a base unit with a two-way speaker and a waterproof help button that can be worn around the neck or wrist. For landline systems, a phone cord is included to attach your base device to the phone jack. A medical information card and step-by-step set-up instructions are also included.
The Medical Alert system will work in all 50 states, as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Landline systems require that a compatible phone line is present.
Yes! Unfortunately, many falls happen in or around the shower or tub; with this top of mind, we made sure that our help buttons can be worn in the tub or shower. For an added layer of protection, we offer a fall detection help button which is also waterproof.
Shipping times vary based on which option you choose. We have three options:
All orders must be placed before 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or before 3 p.m. on Friday to qualify for these shipping times. If orders are placed after 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or after 3 p.m. on Friday, the order will go out the next day.
The best value and most popular option is our annual rate plan where you get one month of service free as well as free ground shipping and a free lockbox. Our semi-annual plan includes six months of service with free ground shipping and our monthly plan is a month-to-month option.
For convenience, when you choose a rate plan, we will automatically take payment on the same day every month, six months or 12 months depending on the rate plan you select.
