Mobile Alert Device Manual Set-Up Guide

Mobile Alert System Includes:

  • Anywhere help button for use on the GO
  • Charger cradle and in-home base station
  • Waterproof help button pendant for home
  • Waterproof help button on wristband for home

Guide

1. Charge Mobile Alert Device Place the Mobile Alert Device into the charging cradle and make sure the amber light on the cradle is illuminated.

IMPORTANT: You must charge the Mobile Alert Device for at least 3 hours before testing.

  • Go Outside – Take the fully charged Mobile Alert Device outside to an open area & face the unit to the open sky. The unit is now looking for the GPS Satellite as well as local cellular towers. Wait for the Yellow & Green Indicator Lights to Flash. This can take anywhere from 2 to 15 Minutes – please be very patient during this critical setup stage. This will be the ONLY time you need to do this.

2. Test Your System

Test Your Mobile Alert Device

  • To test the Mobile Alert Device, push the emergency button ONCE and hold for 2 seconds. The Mobile Alert Device will sound several beeps.
  • Wait for emergency operator to ask if you are OK.

IMPORTANT: You must tell the operator that you are testing and that you are OK.

Test your Wrist Button or Neck Pendant

  • Hold Mobile Alert Device
  • Press Wrist or Neck Pendant Button ONCE.
  • The Mobile Alert Device will beep
  • Wait for emergency operator to ask if you are OK.

IMPORTANT: You must tell the operator that you are testing and that you are OK.


3. Final Step

To complete activating your account, you must call Customer Support.

IMPORTANT: Until your account is “Activated” you will NOT receive Emergency Response Monitoring.


Mobile Alert Device Usage Tips:

  • Be sure to conduct a weekly test to your Mobile Alert Device & Neck Pendant or Wrist Button.
  • The battery in the mobile hand held unit is designed to last up to12 hours after charging.

What happens when I press the Neck Pendant or Wrist Button?

    1. The Neck Pendant and Wrist Button are programmed to activate the Mobile Alert Device. The Mobile Alert Device will begin to beep, indicating that the signal from the Neck Pendant or Wrist Help Button has been received by the Mobile Alert Device. The Mobile Alert Device will automatically call the Emergency Response Center (this may take 30 to 60 seconds).
    2. When Mobile Alert Device beeping stops, an Emergency Operator will ask if you are OK.
    3. If you’re able to answer, please provide your status: For Example: “I am OK” or “I need help call 911” or “call one of my contacts”
    4. If you do NOT answer the call, the emergency operator will dispatch help through a local 911 public safety center and notify your personal responders.

When the Neck Pendant or Wrist Button is pressed, it transmits a signal to the Mobile Alert Device triggering the wireless system to place a call to the response center. YOU MUST HAVE THE MOBILE ALERT DEVICE WITH YOU WHEN USING THE SERVICE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME!

Range Testing Overview

    • Help buttons work in conjunction with the Mobile Alert Device in order for those to work, it must be IN RANGE of the Mobile Alert Device. IN RANGE is up to *600 feet.

Range Testing Procedure

    1. Wear your Wrist or Neck Pendant Button
    2. Walk into one of the furthest areas of your home, such as a guest room or bathroom,.
    3. Push the Neck Pendant or Wrist Button (until red light illuminates), and wait for the Mobile Alert Device to beep.
    4. After the Mobile Alert Device beeps/rings; Respond to Emergency Operator when they call your name, and let them know that you are OK, and “THIS IS A TEST”.

It is imperative that you call the support team to make sure that the system is properly installed, tested and activated.
